Yes, fourth largest economy by plundering, pillaging, and conquering the lands of others
All-American Hero   Tuesday, December 10, 2002, 02:47 GMT
Are you talking about Britain or the United States?
m   Tuesday, December 10, 2002, 03:16 GMT
Britannia of course. The US is the largest economy in the world.
All-American Hero   Tuesday, December 10, 2002, 03:22 GMT
Largest economy in the world?

Wow, the United States must have plundered, pillaged, and conquered many more lands than the British.

(I am sorry but this is liking shooting fish in a barrel. Why did you walk into that one? Idiot!)

Ha ha ha. Everyone who gets the chance plunders and pillages. What do you think the Gaels were doing in Scotland in the first place? It's just the ones on the losing end who complain and dress it up as something personal.

Actually Japan has the largest economy and GNP with nearly $40,000 per capita. (Doing GCSE Geography!!) Beats America By over $10,000! I think Britain is about fourth ahead of Germany who has had a recession!

Ban the Euro I'm never going to use it in Britain!!! Its so useless and bland! I know a currency shouldn't be about the colourfulness of a banknote, but the Euro's are so small and bland really with nothing special!
Marushka   Tuesday, December 10, 2002, 20:19 GMT
Yeah If last nights dose of history serves be correctly the lands of Britain and Ireland were plundered by the Vikings in around 1000AD and the islands rape and pillaged??!! Don't talk daft! THE USA HAS NEVER BEEN RAPED AND PILLAGED OR INVADED SO IT HAS HAD NO EXPEREINCE AT ALL!!! IT WAS NOT BOMBED DURING WW2. ITS LED A RELATIVELY EASY LIFE SO FAR. 10,000 men would have been killed in a single battle at Ypres during WW2. Yet 3000 people were killed in the twin towers and america seems to have the automatic right to declare war with two countries!!! America has never really known the reality of war. Europe has had a much harder time than the americans ever did.

Americans have the very strong tendency to believe they are the biggest in everything. In fact, the biggest thing in the US is their ego and greed which is bigger than any other coutries' combined.

I am glad to meet another young person who dislikes the Euro as the media always portray us as old or conservative. I don't mind people using it though, even over Sterling, because its use isn't important. As long as Sterling remains, even as a ghost currency, we still have the power to set our own monetary policies, which will save us from suffering the same fate as Germany et al..

I believe we should adopt the Euro.

If Britain join, more people would use the Euro than the dollar. The Euro would be stronger, Europe would get stronger.

I also believe in a European Army aswell. I also reckon we should get rid of the Queen and elect a President.

shut up all american hero you united empire loyalist. Run off to New Brunswick before we give you a good tar and feathering. Many more lands than the British? Know your fucking history, brother! There never was an American Empire. We did it all on hard work and God's good providence. Now the English empire included almost the whole world. The sun never did set on the English Empire.
All-American Hero   Tuesday, December 10, 2002, 23:04 GMT
Never an American Empire? Open thine eyes and look! What you shall see shall be an awakening. See how the United States is the mistress of the world. See how she stretches beyond the sandy shores and into the homes of strangers, see how she beats out the pace on the drum of the world!

I agree to get rid of the monarchy, but not to have a president. But do not seek to have a currency or army purely in opposition to others. To build yourself up against an enemy is to but become a parody of them. We must not grow to be an opposition to the United States, but to become ourselves.

Right now, there is actually a building of an Empire, its called the European Union and by 2010. It is expected to have

A very bigger population
A bigger economy
A bigger military
A bigger influence

Than the USA.

So, if Europe becomes the "superpower" of the world, America will have to learn the language of this super power, won't they? Wait a minute, I forgot, this language will undoubtedly be ENGLISH!!!
