Does this sentence sound nature?

Is the following sentence a good english sturture or not?

Ex: I can't go on holiday as I broke my leg.

Are you looking for a British structure? I would replace "as" with "because" but I still understand.

I would likely say, "I can't go on holiday because I've broken my leg."

because = 'cause = coz is more common
however sometimes i, AS many of my friends, say 'as'

Your point? I use the word 'as' too, but I like 'because' more in this sentence. Iota was looking for an opinion unless I am mistaken.

If I may add one thing:


You would ask: "Does this sentence sound natural" not 'nature.'

'Because' or 'as' work in that sentence, 'as' sounding a bit more formal.

I agree with Tiffany. However, in addition to saying "I can't go on the holiday BECAUSE I broke my leg" it is also possible to say: "I can't go on the holiday SINCE I broke my leg" too. Here, "since' is kind of Morse Code for "on account of " i.e. "I can't go on the Holiday ON ACCOUNT OF breaking my leg... ON ACCOUNT OF the fact that I broke my leg etc.
