Importance of pronunciation for future EFL teachers

In my country, 80% of the people studying to become future EFL teachers won't consider
pronunciation as a relevant part of their preparation, and they don't think it's
important in general either.
I think it is VERY important. Any comments Merry Xmas. and a succesful new year to everyone |

| What country is this? Studying a language taught by someone who prounouces poorly is very demotivating. If teachers cannot bother to learn the pronunciation how interested are they in the language to start with, how can they create enthusiasm in their students. Since motivation is 70% of the battle I think that pronunciation is very important for a teacher of EFL. |
