My doctor prescribed me with Coca Cola/ Pepsi for my digestion problems. My personal plumbing is in a much better state now that I go to the toilet at least once a day. It also works very well for cleaning the toilet and unblocking drains.

Soda to me. Pop to my grandmother.

I say either "soda" or "soft drink" but usually "soda".
Anyway, the Spelling Reform is terrible. You use the same letters to write multiple sounds.

Oh, definitely soda. Pop just sounds akward to me, if somebody said "pop" to me, I wouldn't think they mean soda, but rather something else.

in our country, there's a soda brand POP. so using it will be biased. we call it softdrink.

It's "pop" in Canada. I guess I should say "in Toronto".
Your spelling reform wouldn't work for non-North American dialects. In fact, it wouldn't work for all North American dialects either.

Pop, soda is something you bake with. The spelling proposal does kinda suck. The vowels don't work, and ae is like in stat, not state. Very different sound.

''Pop, soda is something you bake with.''
Nic, In my dialect ''soda'' is also something you drink. What you bake with we call ''baking soda''. |
