SPAIN VIEWED BY US EYES

Every times I see a forum, or I speak about this country to United-statian (of US nationality) people, they seem to confuse Spanish people with Mexicans, Colombians, Cubans and other hispanoamerican countries.

I would like to know what, you in this forum, have as image and "clichés" when you think about Spain, Spanish language and Spanish people ?
