European language have influenced eachother for centuries, one (if not the) influencer
has been the Romance tree,to be more specific :French. But what if a (eg)originally
French word has been in your language for so long that it has or is 'de-frenching'?
Does this happen in your language?Give examples please. Dutch: French 'champion' has 'de-frenched/re-dutchified' over the years in 'kampioen' ,spelling and pronounciation have changed (Naturally). Enjoy! |
