What do ya'll think about the South Australian English article at Wikipedia?

"pull is pronounced /pʊl/ and pool is pronounced /pʊːl/. However this
is disputed".
I got the first <ʊ> : I think it's [U]. But what does <ː> (the smaller square) stands for ? (not visible on my screen) |

I should have guessed that the squares would end up into things like "pʊl"...
I hope someone will understand my question anyway. |
