Hi, I would like to know the correct American spelling:

pediatric orthopedics?
pediatric orthopædics?
pædiatric orthopædics?

Both words have æ in UK, because they have the same origin (Greek''pæd'', meaning: a child)...

Milton I have no idea but my money would almost certainly be on the Americans having dropped the a (afetr the p).

I'd say google it sunshine.

In the US that'd be "pediatric orthopedics", for the record.

That is probably like the American theater people who will refer to theater with "theatre"; just because they use that usage does not make such normal American spelling.

You will see both in the US, but the simpler form is more common.
