problems of bilingual dictionaries

Hi there,
about the bilingual dictionaries, do you find problems that might face translators when using bilingual dictionaries during the translation process. If so, what do you think the better way to overcome such deficiencies in the bilingual dictionaries?

Hi Nora...I c a problem in the bilingual dictionaries when they dont give examples to clarify the usage of the word. it makes it difficult for the translator or learner to decide which meaning to use

I usually check with a native speaker when I do a translation. Bilingual dictionaries only cover so many examples. Word Reference is a good place to ask for opinions, but don't just take one.

where can I find word reference?
