He isn't really "new". I think I mentioned him a few months ago. Several famous operatic tenors are native speakers of Spanish, but I cannot say that MOST tenors are latin. "Tenor" covers a lot of territory, and not just opera.

In makes me wonder about the Russian "bass". Are more Russians basses and baritones?

It's not really a language topic, though. Maybe if you discuss the language in a libretto or an aria, it could be.

Okay, I didn't comment on this. It's excellent. It's the best I've heard him sing. I like Domingo's rendition of this, but I can appreciate both versions. This version is very, very clean-as if water could sing.
