The word "poaching"

Hi, folks,

I am not an English native speaker and cannot get the meaning of the word "poaching" in the following context.
The title is: Who are the potential hidden jems of the organization
The employee is under-rated: Low performance ranking (e.g., personal dislike by superior, will not be visible and subject to “poaching” by other units).

What does poaching mean in this sentence?

I thank you very much for any help.

Best regards,

Morgana

In this context, ``poaching'' means when one unit/company lures away an employee by offering them a better deal. The connotation of the word implies that the luring is done privately, and not announced until the deal is complete. This is probably to keep the current employer from retaliating.

poaching also means: to hunt illegally.

poaching also means: to cook in simmering water.
