Practicing English has ruined my native accent.

Honestly I don't know what happened. I've been in the U.S studying English real hard for over a year and all of a sudden People in my native Country can not hear me well anymore!!. They said that my voice has changed in the sense that they can not hear clearly what I am saying, they said it has lost its natural resonance and it not very strong like it is used to be.

In the U.S people also is asking me to repeat my self very often. I noticed that when I speak English I get tired really fast on my throat. Might it be that I putting lots of unnecessary tension to my VOCAL CORDS? Im not sure.

Please tell me how to recover my natural resonance, what is the correct way to use the vocal cords to speak english?

thanks a lot.
