Do you = Did you?

Come to think of it, in British, you can say 'Did you want to go for a walk?' to mean - a moment ago, did you say you wanted to go for a walk, and perhaps still do? Or even: Did you, after all, want to go for a walk now?

Yeah, it's something like that for us, too.
