Do sites like livemocha.com offer a better alternative to antimoon.com?

Can you give me some feedback on my pronunciation please?

In the languages forum, a person going by the name of Colette mentioned 'Langwelt' as one of the best language sites on the internet.

That is her own site, you idiot. Maybe you're her too?

Robin that was excellent.

I've never heard a french person immitate a native english accent that well.

Really phenomenal.

Robin, please explain, I'm confused.

You claim for this to be your recording - however on the LiveMocha website a user called 'Robin Michael' has commented on the recording. The username of the person who made the recording was 'Donna Noble' or along those lines.

Hello Caspain

I become a little addicted to antimoon.com

I live in Aberdeen. I noticed in Peer 2 Peer Networking that I was described as the most prolific Troll. However in reality, it is just that I cannot resist the temptation of commenting. If I cannot comment, I start off a new Topic.

I am starting to think that this is a serious waste of time.

But, back to your question. Every now and then, someone asks: 'What is my accent?'

I noticed that recently these questions come from a site called 'LiveMocha'. This is a site similar to antimoon.com but it is a lot more organised.

I briefly joined livemocha.com but I have not taken any real interest in it. By raising this Topic: livemocha.com versus antimoon.com, I wanted to draw Tom's attention to the fact, that LiveMocha was actually advertising on antimoon.com.

The rest is just confusion and misunderstanding.

Bye for now

Mr. Caspian

This sentence:

"I become a little addicted to antimoon.com "

is not typical of the "telegraphic" ungrammatical English of Non-Native Speakers.

This sentence is typical of a Native Speaker who is not double checking his typing before Posting.

I also realised that 'Bye for now... Mr. Caspian' was confusing. Who has written this?

'Robin Michael' or 'Mr. Caspain': The answer is Mr. Robin.

Bye for now

Rboin Michael (another speelling mistake)

Yes, I can understand the confusion now.

This is a Topic Heading on antimoon.com by someone other than RobinMichael. All this goes to show is the importance of grammar and clear thinking. Both stem from an ability to look at something from the point of view of someone else. Grammar and spelling at the end of the day are a system of conventions designed to make life easier!

I don't know whether antimoon.com is well-organized or not and this doesn't make any difference for me. It is very helpful and friendly.
Thanks a lot to the inhabitants.

Hi Damian

I could not remember whether it was 'Damian' or Damien'?

So, now I have found out.

"Damien has become a name with powerful evil connotations"

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damien_Thorn - 43k - Cached - Similar pages

ONLY JOKING!!!!

The name Damon comes from the Greek word daman meaning "to tame" or sometimes "to kill."

Living in Scotland you will appreciate why I sign off as 'Robin Michael' and not just as 'Robin'.

Damian: Have you tried Livemocha?
