Little help needed

Hi,

Have a look at these two sentences, and tell me, please, which one is correct:

1. Having the complete understanding of the job which is acquired with time a new president ...

2. Having the complete understanding of the job, which is acquired with time, a new president ...

I'd be grateful for your help

I would opt for the second clause (neither is a complete sentence ;-)

Also, I would change "Having the complete understanding" to "Having *a* complete understanding" given what I see here--the remainder of the sentence depending...
