what you really want to be

what's the best way to express the idea"you can make yourself become what you really want to be,only by doing what really helps."or something like "what kind of person you will be ,depends on what kind of things you always do."

Your “idea” is like from an American movie.

This idea is really naive!

maybe i didn't make myself clear enough.i just want to know the proper ways to say something like "what you do leads to what you are ."for example,"why people call a person a writer?because he or she always writes something."just a discussion on english language learning, not about the meaning of life or reflections on life.

"you can make yourself become what you really want to be,only by doing what really helps."

is not the same as

"what kind of person you will be ,depends on what kind of things you always do."

is not the same as

"what you do leads to what you are ."

"why people call a person a writer?because he or she always writes something."

To be a writer doesn't mean that you always write something. Even if you would always write something doesn't mean that you're a writer (in the sense of author, novelist, etc). BTW, it is impossible to always write something.

You don't want a philosopical discussion, alas, but the idea you give us is too naive. You even don't know what you really want.

Before asking such highly philosophical questions, become aware of some very easy things to improve your writing:

>> what's the -- W

>> idea"you -- Blank after idea.

>> to be,only by -- Blank after comma.

>> helps."or something like "what

-- Blank after full stop, the first '' doesnt make sense.

>> will be ,depends

-- Comma needs to be directly after the word before, then blank after the comma.

>> maybe i -- Needs to be a M because of start of a sentence.

>> enough.i just -- Space after the full stop and capital I, see above!

>> are ."for example,"why

-- Full stop directly after the e, '' doesn't make sense here, F because of start of a sentence, blanc after the comma, W.

>> writer?because -- Blank after the question mark, B, because of start of sentence.

>> something."just -- See above!

>> learning,not -- See above!

Read a book consciously!

Taking a wild guess here, but are you looking for expressions? The only one I can think of off the top of my head is "you are what you eat."

Thanks,Entbark

Yes, I am looking for them. I just want to know the proper expressions about the whys between what you do and what you are.

what you really want to be

I would re-phrase this expression slightly

What do you really want to be?

Who do you really want to be?

What do you really want?

Which brings me back to a previous Post.

You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you might find
You get what you need

Rolling Stones >> You Can't Always Get What You Want <<

[chorus]
I saw her today at a reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she would meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

No, you can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
And if you try sometime you find
You get what you need

I saw her today at the reception
A glass of wine in her hand
I knew she was gonna meet her connection
At her feet was her footloose man

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you might find
You get what you need

Oh yeah, hey hey hey, oh...

And I went down to the demonstration
To get my fair share of abuse
Singing, "We're gonna vent our frustration
If we don't we're gonna blow a 50-amp fuse"
Sing it to me now...

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes well you just might find
You get what you need
Oh baby, yeah, yeah!

I went down to the Chelsea drugstore
To get your prescription filled
I was standing in line with Mr. Jimmy
And man, did he look pretty ill
We decided that we would have a soda
My favorite flavor, cherry red
I sung my song to Mr. Jimmy
Yeah, and he said one word to me, and that was "dead"
I said to him

You can't always get what you want, no!
You can't always get what you want (tell ya baby)
You can't always get what you want (no)
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You get what you need
Oh yes! Woo!

You get what you need--yeah, oh baby!
Oh yeah!

I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands

You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need

You can't always get what you want (no, no baby)
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need, ah yes...
