Is there a particular name for race cars? Like formula one? Anything you could think of?

Also, what's the name of the field where Formula One races take place?

The name for race cars is 'race cars'. Different classes of race cars exist, including sports cars, rally cars, open-wheel cars (F1 cars are part of this class). Races take place on a race track, or circuit.
