This is a well-marked track
that runs on our bearing which has got fresh sign to it.

Could anyone explain to me the meaning of this sentence?

There are various dictionary definitions of 'bearing'. One use of the word 'bearing' is to describe the direction that a boat takes. On a boat there is a compass. The bearing is the compass reading that will take you to where you want to go.

So, as for this sentence.

The track or path is going in the direction that the traveller wants to go. Furthermore, there is a sign saying that it is the correct track or path.
