Does anyone find English songs are difficult to understand?

Does anyone find listening to English songs are more difficult to understand than to general English conversation?

Can anyone hear what he sang at 2:10/3:38?

These are what I heard:

"When our love that goes up here
cherish you through all the year"

Have I got it correct? If I have, then why it's "cherish", not "cherishes" as love is something uncountable?

Cheers,

He says "When a love like ours appears, cherish it through all the years." I had no problems understanding it, but I'm a native speaker.

I think many songs can be more difficult to understand than regular speech. I, sometimes, can't decipher certain parts of Korean songs even though I'm a native speaker of Korean.

Sounds like:

"When a love like goes appears
cherish it through all the years"
