What was a cool saying of the 1950's?

I remember "See you later alligator!" being a popular way of saying "Goodbye!" around 1954 -55. Also how about "Giving someone the business" ? which they sometimes used on the television series "Leave It To Beaver. " e.g. "Oh, Eddie's just givin' you the business." A way of saying "He's bs-ing you," He's "giving you a line of bull" etc.

Some television reviewer once described the slang used on "Leave It To Beaver" as "early Val-talk." Don't know for sure, though.
