French or German. Which language is the most useful?

You may think I sound naive, but keep in mind. USA isn't a guaranteed eternal sole superpower. Our world is becoming multipolar, that's why. I cannot make precise predictions which powers will rise.

Look, English speakers would be willing to stop using English as a medium of science, but there has to be a reason. It's not our fault that all the best science is produced in English and that there's no need to learn other languages. If people are sick of English they should start producing good science in their native languages. It's not our fault they suck at science.

french is used internationally, is considered more pleasing to the ears, looks good written down, is equally important in science and technology, and france is the leading tourist destination.
