What is the difference between land and lend?

I just can't differentiate land from lend.
also, the man vs men
bat vs bet
sand vs send

They sound the same to me.
Can anyone tell me how to pronounce these two vowels correctly?

A recording of you saying the words would help, so we would know which one you're saying incorrectly.

You can quite quickly draw up lists of words to practice with. There are probably lists on the internet. You could also Google 'vowel sounds'.

I know they say that you should have a foreign language to be able to teach English as a foreign language, but I do not think that it is necessary. After all, every mother teaches her child the language. It does require a certain amount of thought about learning strategies. So it is not as if there is no skill involved.

<<after all, every mother teaches her child the language.>>

Babies aren't foreigners. English isn't a foreign language for a baby with no language at all.
