Asian languages

People say that several Asian languages will be very important this century.

Chinese and Arabic are official languages in United Nations and they have an important role in International Organizations.

Japanese and Hindi-Urdu are also very important. They are also candidates to be in UNO.

Finally, Malay-Indonesian, Persian, Korean, Tamil and Turkish are also very interesting languages.

Greek, Latin, Spanish, French and now American English are the lingua franca in the last XX centuries. So, perhaps the role of Asian languages will be more important in the near future.

What do you think about?

Chinese and Arabic are really World languages, like English and Spanish. They are the four key languages of the XXI century.

Arabic and Chinese are not world languages. Arabic is not even a language, only a macrolanguage with unintelligible dialects and Chinese is spoken only in China.

English and French are the only true global and most influential languages. They will remain so in the XXI century.

Don't even think about ignoring the overseas Chinese communities. There are lots of them and some of them are large enough to be influential.
