ok I forgot to add some stinking 's' so what

do I have to add some racist comments or curses in order to get some decent answers?

I know "live" can be pronounced differently but in which areas it differs? does it differ from word to word, or from region to region ?

If someone clarified that I'd appreciate it.

We all have to live our lives as best we can.

When I was a wee lad I loved going to our local zoo, and have been about twice since with some frinds or relatives. In fact I like it so much and all the beautiful and interesting creatures it houses, so it could be said that I live to see all the live animals, happy and contented and so well looked after there.

I adored looking at everything from orang outangs to wart hogs, and not forgetting the cawing macaws. Macaws do caw don't they? Or do they simply screech?

live (verb: to exist) = /lɪv/ (like give)
live (adj: alive, real-time) = /laɪv/ (like chives)
lives (noun: plural of life) = /laɪv/ (like chives)

You're claiming that "live" and "lives" are pronounced the same?

Sorry, forgot the s. /laɪvs/

But I am sure you realized he was asking about the vowel.
