It's a pity the Dutch couldn't save these creols. I guess this is a perfect example of how the Dutch neglect their language not just in the Netherlands but worldwide. You can try and speak Dutch to people in the Netherlands but they will always reply in English. Funny country that is...

Burgher people -> people of Eurasian descent. Not just Dutch.
