La Hispanidad is a neo-colonist organisation.
Franco   Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:21 pm GMT
There is not such organisation.

Where does Wikipedia say it is an organisation? Can you read?

Nah, the Francophony is just that - phony.

<< Good point. France and Portugal must join the Hispanidad just like whole of Belgium is part of La Francophonie and not just Wallonia. Perhaps make Wallonia also join the Hispanidad as this has historical reasons and I think that if Walloons learn a foreign language it's mostly English or Spanish anyway. >>

France would never join La Hispanidad. As a matter of fact it wolud be much better for Spain and the Netherlands to join the La Francophonie.

Even if there is a historical ties between Wallonia and Spain, there is no cultural links because no Spanish traces can be seen in their culture and if you're talking about the Roman Catholic, France is also RC.

You're dreaming that Spanish is one of the the foreign languages to be studied by Walloons. Its German and Italian not Spanish.

<< Since when was Ireland 10% French speaking? >>

<< I don't think that list is correct. I don't believe 10% or more Argentinians, South Africans, Taiwanese, Swedish people speak French. >>

Rephrase it again and exclude Brazil, and possibly Portugal, from that list, if you're not dishonest.

This list is very biased and false.

French people don't know how to promote their language.

OTOH, Hispanics can say that a lot of countries WANT to be in the Hispanic summits like Italy, Belgium, Morocco, Haiti, Timor, Guinea, etc.

Even United States will be probably in the Hispanic summits in the near future.

BTW, United States, Canada, China, India, Japan, France, Indonesia, Taiwan and other 80 countries can be in these summits because some provinces or States of these countries were in the Spanish crown or the Portuguese Empire.

Some of them will be in the next summits with Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Philippines, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Chile, etc.

I think that this is a better list.

France rules and everyone else follows. Vive la France... Vive Francophone...

You're talking non-sense.

Some Hispanic nations such as Venezuela and former Hispanic countries like the Philippines and Equatorial Guinea expressed interest in joining Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa.

Francophone countries are also interested in joining the community like Morocco and Romania. Mauritius and Senegal are now a full member of it. These countries showed no interest in joining La Hispanidad.

On the other hand, Lussophione countries like Guinea Bissau, Cape Verde, São Tomé & Príncipe, and Mozambique joined La Francophonie not La Hispanidad.
