Difference between Finland and Estonia?

Is the difference between Finland and Estonia comparable to the difference between Spain and Portugal? Estonia strikes me as Finland's smaller, more antiquated little brother in the same sense of Spain and Portugals relationship.

Also, the difference between Estonian and Finnish strikes me as similar to the difference between Spanish and Portuguese, both exist at the same end of their language families, but are still distinct.

So yes, is the relationship between the Finnish and Estonians similar to that of the Spanish and Portuguese, or further apart than that?

Cheers

Difference between Finnish and Estonian is comparable to difference between Spanish and Italian. Portuguese and Spanish are like Finnish and Karelian.

There is nothing similar to Portuguese and Spanish. Finnish and Estonian are like Castillian and Aragonese or Portuguese and Galician or even Catalan and Occitan.
