That doesn't really say much about the actually usefulness of a language over-all though, just how geographically widespread it is and which countries the US happens to be dealing with.

That's probably not a good list to be on. It means the USA is gonna come and send you back to the Dark Ages! Not exactly a great thing for the importance of your language.
