Spain gives in to terrorism?

Spain is the only Western country that has surrendered to terrorists. In 2004 they were bombed into submission by al-Qaeda (of course, conspiracy theories aside...).

What does this tell us about their spines?

Spain even doesn't belong to G20, while Italy always belongs to G8.
Franco   Thu May 27, 2010 6:23 am GMT
Luxembourg doesn't belong to G8 whereas Sicily does....

Yes, basically Spain is a spineless country. AQ bombed Madrid which basically meant: take your Spanish troops out of Irak otherwise bombs will continue, so the Spanish had to vote for Zapatero who would retire Spanish troops from Irak. Otherwise Spaniards would have never voted for him. Spanish Socialist party was in the past a puppet of the USSR but nowadays they are the toy of Al Quaeda. So sad... This didn't happen when Generalisimo was still alive.
Franco   Thu May 27, 2010 6:27 am GMT
Despite Spain is a spineless country for the most part, at least it counts with very brave souls like me. A new reconquista will begin soon and Spaniards will send the muslims back to their countries again.
iMac   Thu May 27, 2010 7:03 am GMT
Spain, Italy, and France, have already absorbed many of the illegal muslim immigrants to their countries, of course, there must be some terrorists of Al Quaeda among them, btw, I'm also concerned for Germany's national security, because a large number of Turkish immigrants have been flooding into Germany.

Allah never forgives terroristic atrocity.
Matematik   Thu May 27, 2010 7:54 am GMT
Even Britain is not as spineless, London was subjected to a very similar attack and our response was not to just comply to their demands like Spanish pussies.

Aznar pushed Spain into the invasion of Iraq, in spite of over 90% of the population being decidedly against it. One of the electoral promises of the PSOE was to withdraw the troops as soon as they got in power. Those electoral promises were made long BEFORE the bombings. It has been proved they did the decent and right thing as there was no mass - destruction weapons, which was the excuse for invading the country.

As for conspiracy theories:

And you expect anyone to go to Iraq to fight and die because of this?
But surely not a twit, right? Remember Michael Moore's attempt to get members of Congress to send their children to serve in Iraq?

Its ok, we understand you are scared. just stand aside and let the real soldiers deal with it. amateur hour is over.

Even if Spain was in Iraq unjustifiably, that's no reason to withdraw. If you unjustifiably walk up to a random person and punch them in the face, and they punch you back, then you don't just walk away after you've already gone that far, but rather you escalate it into a full-scale brawl and fight it out.

<<Aznar hubiera perdido las elecciones...

Aznar didn't lose elections because he was not a candidate in 2004. Even AlQuaeda recognised that they put the bombs in Madrid to electorally benefit Spanish socialist party, so the socialists and islamic terrorists are partners.
Mallorquí   Thu May 27, 2010 12:25 pm GMT
Spanish leftists' cowardice is legendary. They prefered to blame Aznar for the bombs in Madrid rather than AlQuaeda because according to them if Aznar didn't send Spanish troops to Irak, then AlQuaeda would have not been forced to put the bombs. They are shameless and coward. No wonder why they lost the Civil War against Franco, a true Spaniard.
