Specilized English Pronounciation

I'm a mechanical engineering student and during my courses I've encountered many specilized terms whose pronounciacians just can't be found in any dictionary, and therefore I have to guess their pronounciacians from some similar ordinary word. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

It would be nice to have an example of one of these words. The correct spelling is "pronunciations", by the way.

I'm a Mech. Eng, too. Which words do you have a problem with?
I usually just guess the pronounciation based on how the word is spelled or what country the word comes from.
