The version in Portuguese is understandable, except that part «com I Baseado latin da língua», but very incorrect. I agree with French's literal translation. In correct Portuguese it should be something like this:
"Estou testando o Babelfish para ver se é adequado para o uso simples (... ???) [;] gostaria de receber reacções de lusófonos a este texto, [para saber] se conseguem ler o que acabei de escrever."
My mark: Insufficient (because I'd rather have no translation at all than a consistently doubtful one, even in informal situations).
