Dutch pronunciation

Hi,

I'm doing some research on St. Nicholas, and need help with the pronunciation of two words. (If you could spell them phonetically and put the stress where it should go, that would be great).

Thanks!

Sintirklaas
Zwarte Piet
pepernoten
Speculaas (I think this is Speck-you-LAHS. Correct?)

Sorry for the waiting,I had some problems with my crap free website ;)

Okay...here they are:

Sintirklaas = http://geocities.com/dutchsander1/Sinterklaas.wav
Zwarte Piet = http://geocities.com/dutchsander1/ZwartePiet.wav
pepernoten = http://geocities.com/dutchsander1/Pepernoten.wav
Speculaas = http://geocities.com/dutchsander1/Speculaas.wav

Question:Is there as special reason why all four words are related to Sinterklaas?
Marguerite   Mon Aug 01, 2005 7:17 pm GMT
Thanks so much, Sander--I really appreciate the quick turnaround!

Yes. I'm very interested in learning more about St. Nicholas, and since he has so much to do with the Netherlands, I thought it would be nice to be able to hear how the words are pronounced in Dutch.

Thanks again!

Flamsk bruges normalt som samlebetegnelse for den form for nederlandsk der tales i Belgien. Dialekter såsom f.eks. Limburgsk går dog på tværs af landegrænserne.
