What Romance language should one learn for work?

Hot-toffee   Thu Jun 15, 2006 6:49 pm GMT
I wonder what Romance language should I learn for work.Do you think I should learn Italian first, ooor French?But it's also important for me that I should learn a Romance language that will make it easy for me to learn the other Romance language.So which one is it?Is it Italian as I suppose so?Or maybe it's spanish?But Spanish doesn't have that much working importance.Yes, I know it is spoken by many people all over the world, but it's not really working.So it must be either French or Italian, do you agree?I don't even count on Romanian as it has no importance, but on French and Italian.Help me please...Waiting for your replies...

French is the language of theatre, cinema.Italian is the language of portraits and arts.And spanish is the language of people around world.But I love the Italian language because it is the best pronunciated language ever.It is so melodic that no other language can be that melodic anyway.I love italian.Hey italian why are you waiting.Fuck that francophone!!!

If your asking what is more practical, that would depend on your location. If you are in Europe, I would probably recommend French. If you live in the Western Hemishphere (maybe excluding Canada) I would suggest you learn Spanish. Latin music is so beautiful. And there are ways you can only express certain things in Spanish, that you can't in English. Spanish rolls of the tounge, and is music to the ears. It reaches your soul. Girls find it to be sexy, when spoken with charisma, like Don Diego. It's just such a beautiful language. And it's one of the easiest languages to learn. It's almost completely phonetic, the grammar is a piece of cake. I find the pronounciation to be far easier than French or Portuguese. Italian is my second favorite language, but probably only because it sounds so much like Spanish. If you learn Spanish, you can understand quite a bit of Italian. You can't say the same about French, for it is farther removed from Italian. French phonology, more than anything, is what throws you off. The vocabularly is very similar, but its French pronounciation that sets it apart.

The Sardinian dialects sound more phonetically the same as Spanish; (Especially "Logudorese" and sometimes "Sassarese"). Logudorese pronounces all words clearly like Spanish and they have & use the "sibilant" s in place, like Classical-Latin, Spanish & Greek. Unlike standard Italian, which they pronounced their 's' like a 'z'.

Some examples:

Here you can hear out the "sibilant" -s- in place on the NUORO section (a.k.a Logudorese)

some close equivalents *words* of Spanish and Logudorese;-->>>>

Did I mentioned that Spanish & Logudorese share common words and pronunciation, apparently they do.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here the word "dog" in various tongues;

Logudorese has a clean-cut pronunciation, like Castilian Spanish and some variants of Spanish.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

May I add that the "Cagliari" dialect of Sardinia sounds more like Portuguese (in the rhythm of the pronunciation). Also, that Oristano sounds more like Italian in (in the rhythm of the pronunciation). Examples of "cagliari and oristano";----------->>>>>>>

If u want to speak romance languages through one romance language, I suggest you start with portuguese, only a portuguese speaker can understand other romance languages alot easier than others... I´m a portuguese speaker and I can easily understand spanish and italian, even french sometimes once spoken slowly...

About your question: Italian is the easiest to learn, Spanish is the most latin language spoken in the world (spanish is not so easy in its grammary and phonetic especially the "J", French is the most usefull in Europe.

What you want to learn depends of what you want, i mean:

Is is a language for buziness.........?
