Ja "lekker" is geweldig, het kan in zoveel verschillende zinnen gebruikt worden, tock vind ik "leuk" net iets beter ;-)

I'm sorry the above message is mine.

> *lekker - one of my favourite Germanic words, and especially in Dutch, where the fact that it, like other adjectives, is used undeclinated in a case like this, makes it even more cozy!

This word has found its way into South African English from Afrikaans to a great extent too, where it can mean just about anything is good, from food being tasty to a person being attractive. It is a very useful word.

Yeah, one of the few words I really miss in English although "nice" comes close...

"Lekker" is much stronger than "nice" in South African English and Afrikaans. I'm not sure if the Dutch use of the word is slightly different. I remember at school were were forbidden from using the word "nice" when writing about things in English lessons as our teacher said it was unimaginitive and almost meaningless.

Encore un sujet néerlandais qui finit en anglais... Quel dommage ! Vraiment !

Blijkbaar begrijp je het niet: Wij willen niet me je praten en we verachten je storende gedrag.

Ich denke nicht, dass du es versteht: Wir wollen nicht mit dir reden und wir hassen deine unterbrechendes Verhalten.

You don't get it do you: We don't want to talk with you and we loath your disruptive behaviour.
