Please take a look at the sentence, chosen for a very formal situation, below:

I look forward to receiving your best wishes for my success.

Mjd's right; normally one does not request that others wish you well.

Actually I'm handing in my resignation. I'm making a request to my ex- employer to give me his best wishes. O.k, it doesn't matter if it's wrong. you could give me the appropriate sentence for this situation.

Forget the best wishes -- ask him for a recommendation.
Abdur Rehman   Sat Aug 27, 2005 10:20 pm GMT
I don't need the recommendation because I've managed to get a better job.

If you are a valued employee, I shouldn't think he'll be giving you much in the way of best wishes, and to anticipate receiving best wishes may be interpreted as slightly insulting. I would merely say how much you have enjoyed working for the company and keep it short and sweet.

Abdur Rehman, instead of "I look forward to receiving your best wishes for my success," you could say "I hope you will wish me well."
