Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:12 pm GMT
Excusé-moi , I forgot to mention the extra 'f' in 'off ' .
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:14 pm GMT
God this is typically me :-) Ik val in mijn eigen kuil...
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:21 pm GMT
I'm guessing that means 'I fell in my own trap'.
What about me, missspelling 'pedantic'....:-)
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:23 pm GMT
and misspelling 'misspelling'......yeah, English words have 3 letters in a row! Honest! ;) And maybe it should have a hyphen in it! :)
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:27 pm GMT
Yeah, You know you ,being an (Native B.E) English teacher, would make excellent use for one of my tests!
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:29 pm GMT
The shame.....
Losing all my credibility.....
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:29 pm GMT
What?
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:30 pm GMT
What what??
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:30 pm GMT
"The shame.....
Losing all my credibility..... " ?!
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:31 pm GMT
I know what I said, what's your point?
You're very cryptic sometimes!!
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:34 pm GMT
<Sigh>
I said:

"Yeah, You know you ,being an (Native B.E) English teacher, would make excellent use for one of my tests!"

Upon which you said:

"The shame.....
Losing all my credibility....."

LOL That's cryptic :-)
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:35 pm GMT
I understood you were being funny, hinting that I needed to take an English test!!
Hence, my lack of credibility...
(sighs also!)
Sander   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:38 pm GMT
No, not an English test, A test about the amount of mutual intelligible between English and other Germanic languages.
Candy   Sat Aug 27, 2005 8:45 pm GMT
OK, now I get it.
British, you see - sees sarcasm everywhere....

Got to go now, I'm knackered (everyone reading this thread breathes a huge sigh of relief) But please post something about the mutual intelligibility tests, as well as some info about RECORDING MYSELF, from upthread.
Was I right about the 'Ik val in mijn eigen kuil... '?

And someone PLEASE post something about German, to get the thread back on-topic! :-)
