Can't understand this song, help.

Here it is, "Walk rught in" by The Rooftop Singers:

Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Walk right in, sit right down
Daddy, let your mind roll on
Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin'
Do you want to lose your mind?

Walk right in, sit right down
Baby, let your hair hang down
...

There are only 5 different lines in the whole song, and I don't get what's this song about.

Specifically, I don't understand:
1. let one's mind roll on
2. let one's hair hang down.

And, yeah, what is this song about?

With the help of Limewire, I am listening to this song which was on the Forest Gump sound track.

First of all, lyrics of songs do not have to make sense or be particularly meaningful.

Daddy, let your mind roll on

Daddy, let your mind relax.

Baby, let your hair hang down

Baby, relax

Everybody's talkin' 'bout a new way of walkin'

A new way of walking - a new way of dancing: does it have to make sense?

Do you want to lose your mind?

Lose your mind: as a result of 'mental illness', worry, drugs,

I think the message is: Don't worry: Relax

Walk right in, sit right down

Make yourself at home

Thank you, Robin.

«A new way of walking - a new way of dancing: does it have to make sense?»

I am not sure whether it does...

You are fucking ridiculous, it's obviously a song about the 1900's culture change and drug use. Regardless if you can't understand simple symbolism you need to sit and think whether or not you should be reading.
