What is the correct plural for the name Fallas--as in "her parents and grandparents-the Fallas"
|
|
At least in my own speech, the most natural thing would be to add "-es" to last names that end in "s", so the plural would be "the Fallases". Likewise a family of people named Williams would be "the Williamses".

Agree -although Fallas seems to be a very rare last name.

Good point - These are called "mnemonic devices" from the Greek word for "memory."

What about last names like "Foot"? I'd call a family of people named Foot "the Foots". Would anyone call them "the Feet"?
