* Correction The 1st Semeste Exam (Grade 8)

1.Tim's report card is poor so he should study harder next semester.
Is this sentence above right ? I think the word "so" is not good to use, isn't it? Please explain to me!

2. Nghi enjoys playing soccer on Sundays.
I think it should remove the phrase "on Sunday". What do u think?

The word "so" is okay there. In this context, it's expressing a consequence; the word is synonymous with "thus" or "therefore".

You're right that that sentence sounds a little unnatural, although I don't think I would say it's strictly incorrect.
