A modified RP accent?

First, is there a modified RP accent? If so, then what does it sound like?

Well, it depends on how it's modified...duh.

It means an accent that is close to RP, but has certain regional features added into it. So, it's not just one accent, it's many.

You mean Estuary? That's the closest thing to RP that I could think of. If you want to hear what it sounds like, look for a person who goes to Eton and listen to the accent that he/she uses when he's OUT of Eton. ;)

Cheers!

*erases the 'she' since she realises rather late that Eton is a non-coed boarding school. :P *
