The Use of 'And'

Wonder   Sun Mar 18, 2007 4:17 am GMT
Should I use the word 'and' when ask a question referring to two people?
e.g. Sam and Tom, do you like icecream?
Thanks for reading.

do you both like icecream would be more appropriate to say if they are present in person.

Sam, Tom, do you like icecream?
I think that is enough.

You can, but tyty is correct; most people don't in direct conversation.

I'd say "do ya'll like ice cream?" The other half of America would say "you guys."

Or you two, you both, etc.

...and I think...it's good.

Do I need to capitalise the 'a' in and?

Thanks for all the replies above.
