Old English or Anglo Saxon was the language used in England from around the year 500 AD until around 1100 AD, just after the Norman Conquest of England in 1066.

Why can't these idiots use mp3 instead of this "ram" crap?

I agree. Real Player formats suck. They should use more universal formats.

It plays in windows media player.

Re: http://www.georgetown.edu/faculty/ballc/oe/LP-all.wav

It's sounds Scandinavian or like "deLatinised" Elvish.

Here is an audio sample of Elvish...

HOW THE KHUI CAN YOU KNOW HOW IT WAS PRONOUNCED??? ITS JUST GUESSING.

Btw, Elvish sounds obviously like a fake language.

I suggest you listen to Elvis-ish instead.

Interesting, but this thread should be in the English part of Antimoon.

I've been studying Old English this semester... It's interesting... And you can't really know for sure how they pronounced it, but it is safe to make certain assumptions based on certain reconstructions.
