RUSSIAN in BELARUS

I wonder if they really speak Russian in the city of Minsk instead of Belarusian. Have you got any idea about it? Your comments are really very important for me, so please inform me about it...

Russian language predominates in Belarus. just 11% of Belarus speak Belaraussians and all of them speak Russian as if it is their native language while Russian speakers don't bother to learn Belarusdsians although they somewhat understand it since both Russian and Belarussian belong to Salvic group of languages.

Hello! Yes, we speak mostly Russian in Minsk. Some nationalistic youngsters really prefer Belarussian, ans some older people born in the province speak mixed Russian-Belarussian language (they are quite similar actually).
But the whole society is mostly running in Russian, and it has been so for decades now.
