French or Italian, which language should I learn first?

After some meditating I decided to go with Italian. I don't mind It is not spoken in so many countries like French is. I like this language and I want to learn it.

I don' think so. I'm a french speaker, I think spoken Italian to be very easy to understand.

My Italian co-worker is fluent after two month spaking the language only.

I think you did the good choice. Italian is a very beautiful language with a clear pronociation...and it's an original choice^^Different than English, French, Spanish, German (the most studied).
You'll see with Italian knowledge you'll understand French ;-).
