Sometimes I don't sign in. I want to be clear that I did NOT write the message above, but of course it is true. In the USA, at least, I think the purpose of the relationship needs to be clear. That's why I get so annoyed when this site seems to be a trolling site for lonely people looking for romance. The site clearly states that this is not a place for pen pals, etc.

The other thing is this: Noone wants to waste time or get their feelings hurt. If you have a bad experience with a native speaker, it may set you back in your languages studies.

Actually, it should be "language studies", not what I wrote.
