I once heard that it is not polite to pose "V" with our fingers in England and Greece.
Is it true?

I assume you mean the gesture with the index and middle fingers forming a V, and the other two fingers curled, with the thumb placed on top of them.

I don't know about Greece, but in Britain, it depends. If you have the palm facing outward, toward, the viewer, it's the "V for Victory" or "peace sign", and it's OK. If the back of the hand is facing the viewer, then it's a very rude gesture.

In the US the "V sign" is considered another way of doing the peace sign... Though every now and then you'll come across someone who knows what it means in the US...

I have a keychain of a bear doing that and his t-shirt says "F@%# off!" It's cute.

Do you have different keychains for different social settings?

The "Spock" also looks like a V.
