Do they have the same meaning?

a) That will work everywhere.
b) That will work anywhere.

Do a) and b) have the exactly same meaning?
If they don't, what are the differences of the two sentences?

It's hard to tell with these isolated sentences out of context, but I suppose a) might have a bit more of a geographic connotation, and b) could be a bit more general in meaning.
