"Flamboyant" is a very common one used as a sort of euphemism by many folks.

Also, I don't think there's necessarily anything wrong with queer, since many gays refer to themselves using it, queer as that may sound (lol).

'Fruit' is one, though it has almost completely fallen out of use.

I hate them too, but as a mere poster I do not have the power of deletion, unfortunately. I see no linguistic validity at all in the long list of insulting and offensive terms spewed out in here. Why not set your sights on a different section of the community, then? How many words or expressions, nice or nasty, can you cook up to describe black people? The Americans? The British? People with physical or mental disabilities? Women? See how long the threads would be allowed to stay active before deletion if such groups were subjected to the same treatment as the one being discussed in here.

Then your vocabulary must be that of the ghetto, public bar at closing time, the locker room or the school playground. I can well imagine just where you would aim to practise this vocabulary of yours.

Guetto vocabulary is not worse than bourgeois vocabulary. These are legitimate English words like any other and it's always welcome to know new ones.
