I don't like sticky foods.
I don't like sticky situations.

In the first "sticky" has to do with the texture of glue that some foods have. These are foods like caramel corn, fresh peaches.

In the second the word "sticky" refers to a complicated, usually unpleasant situation.

Mark was in a sticky situation. His two girlfriends were heading to his apartment at the same time.
