To tell you the truth I really had a very simmilar experience, not so long ago. It was in August. I went to the seaside with my girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend). Everything took place in Miedzyzdroje. We were waiting for the train to Swinoujscie when suddelny a man and a woman approached us. They started flipping their hands and showing a ticket... After a few seconds they spoke a few words in English (they didn't expect us to know English) to me and I started talking to them. They simply wanted to know the platform and the exact time of the departure of train, as they knew no Polish words. After a short conversation my girlfriend was so proud I could easily speak English that she gave me a big kiss and something more an hour later, when we were in our room and noone could see us... :) That's the real story and I think you might put that on your site, if you wish.
